PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The Rail Traveling Gantry Crane is a high-capacity, rail-mounted material handling system designed for heavy-duty outdoor and indoor applications where precision, stability, and high travel speeds are required. Unlike rubber-tired gantry cranes, this crane operates on fixed rails, providing exceptional straight-line accuracy, minimal sway, and the ability to handle extremely heavy loads (up to 500+ tons) over long distances. It is widely used in ports, steel mills, precast concrete yards, railway maintenance depots, shipyards, and heavy equipment assembly facilities.
APPLICATION
1. Port & Container Terminals (Heavy Breakbulk)
Breakbulk Cargo Handling: Lifting heavy machinery, steel coils, timber, and palletized goods from ships to railcars or trucks.
Container Stacking (Heavy Duty): Stacking laden containers in rail-served storage blocks where rubber-tired cranes are not suitable (e.g., narrow aisles or high stacking).
Rail-Ship Transfer: Direct transfer of heavy cargo from vessel to railcars using a gantry that spans both the quay and rail tracks.
2. Steel Mills & Metal Service Centers
Coil & Plate Storage: Lifting steel coils (up to 50 tons each) from delivery trucks and stacking them in outdoor storage yards.
Slab & Billet Yard Management: Moving steel slabs or billets (100+ tons) from railcar unloading to furnace charging areas.
Scrap & Pig Iron Handling: Using a grab or magnet to load scrap or pig iron into railcars or containers.
3. Precast Concrete & Construction Material Yards
Concrete Beam & Panel Handling: Lifting long precast concrete beams (up to 50 meters) from casting beds to storage or directly onto trucks/railcars.
Pipe & Culvert Stacking: Handling large concrete pipes, culverts, and manhole sections.
Reinforcement Cage Lifting: Moving heavy rebar cages into position for casting.
Mold Handling: Lifting and repositioning heavy steel molds for precast production.
4. Railway Maintenance & Rolling Stock Depots
Locomotive & Railcar Lifting: Lifting complete locomotives or railcars off their bogies for wheel replacement or underframe repair.
Bogie & Wheel Set Handling: Moving heavy bogies (trucks) and wheel sets to maintenance bays.
Rail & Track Component Storage: Lifting long rails (up to 100 meters) from delivery trains to storage racks.
5. Heavy Equipment Manufacturing (Mining, Construction)
Excavator & Dump Truck Assembly: Lifting large components (booms, buckets, frames) into place on assembly lines.
Crane Boom Fabrication: Handling long steel booms for mobile cranes, lattice sections, and counterweights.
Milling Machine & Crusher Assembly: Lifting heavy mill shells or crusher frames into position.
6. Shipbuilding & Offshore Fabrication
Hull Block Handling: Lifting large prefabricated steel hull blocks (100-500 tons) from fabrication sheds to dry dock assembly.
Engine & Propeller Installation: Moving marine diesel engines, propellers, and rudders into vessels under construction.
Pipe & Outfitting Modules: Handling long piping modules and accommodation units.
